The Miami Dolphins are 0-5 in the 2026 season. Outside the playoff picture, 15th in the AFC. They have won 2 Super Bowls, most recently in the 1973 (VIII) season. Their last playoff appearance was the 2023 season and their last playoff win came in the 2000 season.
Miami's playoff history splits into two eras. The first, under Don Shula, produced three straight Super Bowl trips from 1971 to 1973, back-to-back titles in Super Bowls VII and VIII, and the only perfect season in NFL history in 1972. Dan Marino took the Dolphins to Super Bowl XIX in his second year and never got back.
The second era is the longest playoff-win drought in the league. The Dolphins have not won a postseason game since the 2000 season, a Wild Card win over Indianapolis in December 2000. Seven straight playoff losses followed, the most recent a 26-7 defeat in Kansas City in January 2024 played in minus-four-degree cold. Miami missed the 2024 and 2025 playoffs.
