The Chicago Bears are 5-2 in the 2026 season. Would be in as the No. 5 seed (wild card) if the season ended today. They have won 1 Super Bowl, most recently in the 1985 (XX) season. Their last playoff appearance was the 2025 season and their last playoff win came in the 2025 season.
The Bears won the first Super Bowl of the Mike Ditka era in January 1986, a 46-10 demolition of New England by one of the best defenses ever assembled, and reached Super Bowl XLI 21 years later. Chicago also owns eight pre-Super Bowl NFL championships, more than any franchise except Green Bay.
The 2025 season was the breakthrough fans waited 15 years for. Caleb Williams and new head coach Ben Johnson won the NFC North at 11-6, then beat Green Bay 31-27 in overtime on Wild Card Weekend for Chicago's first playoff win since the 2010 season. A 20-17 overtime loss to the Rams in the Divisional Round ended the run, but the Bears start 2026 as a team expecting January football.
