Which networks show the NFL playoffs?

Wild Card Weekend is spread across the league’s partners: CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN and ABC, plus Prime Video, with Peacock and Paramount+ streaming their networks’ games. The Monday night Wild Card game is on ESPN and ABC. Divisional Round and Conference Championship assignments rotate between CBS and FOX for the Sunday afternoon windows, with NBC and ESPN taking a Saturday game each in January. Super Bowl LXI is on ESPN and ABC, the first Super Bowl on either network in this era.

When does the NFL announce playoff kickoff times?

Wild Card times and networks are announced on the evening of Sunday, January 10, within about an hour of the final Week 18 game. The NFL keeps a few Week 18 games flexible so it can place the most important ones in prime time. Divisional Round times are announced late on Monday, January 18, after the last Wild Card game, and Conference Championship times on Sunday, January 24.

Where are the 2027 playoff games played?

Every game before the Super Bowl is at the home stadium of the higher seed, so venues are only known once matchups are set. The Super Bowl is the lone neutral-site game. January weather is part of the story: outdoor cold-weather stadiums in Buffalo, Green Bay, Kansas City, Denver, Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia regularly host playoff games in freezing temperatures, while domes in Detroit, Minneapolis, Atlanta and Las Vegas take weather out of it.

NFL playoff schedule 2027 in short

What time are NFL playoff games on?

Saturday and Sunday Wild Card games kick off at 1:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. ET, with the Monday game at 8:15 p.m. ET. Divisional games use 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday and 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. The two Conference Championships are at 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET.

Why is there a week off before the Super Bowl?

The NFL keeps a bye week between the Conference Championships and the Super Bowl so the host city can stage the week of events, the teams can travel and prepare, and the Pro Bowl Games can be played.

Are NFL playoff games on streaming only?

One Wild Card game is typically exclusive to Prime Video, and in past seasons one has been exclusive to Peacock. Every other playoff game, including the Super Bowl, airs on a broadcast or cable network as well as its streaming service.

Can NFL playoff games be moved or postponed?

Rarely. Severe weather or an emergency can move a game by a day or to another stadium, as happened when the Steelers-Bills Wild Card game moved from Saturday to Monday in January 2024 because of a snowstorm in Buffalo.

How many playoff games are played each weekend?

Six on Wild Card Weekend, four in the Divisional Round, two on Championship Sunday and one Super Bowl: 13 games in total.
