Last updated
This page explains how content on NFL Playoffs (nflplayoffs.net) is researched, written, checked and updated. The goal is simple: give fans accurate, current answers about the NFL postseason, fast.
Where does the information come from?
Schedule, kickoff and broadcast details come from the NFL’s official announcements and the networks that carry the games. Results, standings and statistics come from official league data and established sports data providers. Historical results and records are cross-checked against at least two sources before publication. When sources disagree, the NFL’s official record wins.
Who writes the content?
All pages are written and edited by Thomas Merton. Live data such as scores, standings and the bracket is updated automatically from data feeds during the season, then reviewed by the editor. No page is published without a human check.
How often are pages updated?
- During the playoffs: bracket, schedule and results pages are updated the same day a game ends or a kickoff time is announced.
- During the regular season: the playoff picture is updated after every week’s games.
- Off-season: history, records and team pages are reviewed and updated with the completed season.
Every page shows a “Last updated” date at the top so you know how current it is.
